◉ 행사목적

미래사회의 주인공인 청소년들이 5ㆍ18민주화운동의 역사적 의의와 가치를 바르게 이해하고
‘5ㆍ18민주화운동정신’(독재와 불의에 대한 항쟁, 민주주의와 인권의 수호, 나눔ㆍ평등ㆍ평화통일의 지향)을 계승,발전시킴으로써‘민주시민의식’과 ‘공동체 정신’을 함양하는 계기로 삼는다. 
 
◉ 대회명칭 :‘울려라 민주의 종~ 5·18골든벨’- 5.18골든벨 퀴즈 대회
