** 국태원 동지는 1980년 당시 조선대학교에 재학 중, 5.18항쟁과 관련하여  고초를 겪었습니다, 
온갖 어려움을 겪으면서도  5.18 정신을 지켜내며 민주화에 기여하는 삶을 살기위해 성심껏 노력하고 계십니다.
모친상을 당하신 국태원 동지와 가족분들에게 동지들의 위로가 함께 하기 바랍니다.

저희 학교에서 5•18을 추모하기위해 5월의 노래와 임을 위한 행진곡, 다른 작곡가들의 추모 곡을 부르면서 다 같이 감정을 나누며 기념했습니다. 가족을 잃은 슬픔은 그 누구도 공감할 수 없지만 저희가 함께 슬픔을 나눠드리도록 항상 기념하고 추모하도록 노력하겠습니다.
